Introduction

A scheduled Routine Inspection to asses the following areas for compliance:
-Physical facility.
-Equipment and fixtures.
-Health and hygiene practices.
-Sanitization practices.
-Emergency response preparedness.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation: Licensing observed chipped paint through out the care facility.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that the community care facility and the fixtures within it are in good repair.

Comments

Summary of inspection:
At the inspection dated June-18-20 there were 4 children in care with the manager.
A COVID-19 Risk Screening was conducted prior to inspection.
At the inspection, the above noted contraventions were identified.
Please provide Licensing with a written response,by the date stated below, indicating how the above noted contraventions will be addressed.
As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed.
This report was written off site. A copy of the report and corresponding Risk Assessment was emailed to the Manager.

The following items were discussed:
-Planned emergency response during COVID-19.
-Communicable disease prevention practices.
-Health/hygiene/sanitizing practices during COVID-19.

The following resources were provided:
-Reportable Incident Forms
-Resource Package for Childcare Facilities: COVID-19 Prevention.
Child care and day camps: Protocol for retuning to operation (Work Safe BC).
