Corrective Action(s): All in food in the display cooler or other coolers must be protected from contamination at all times (i.e. covering containers of food, etc.).

Observation: Debris, grime and filth were found underneath the shelving units in the back.
Corrective Action(s): Move shelving units and clean thoroughly underneath (floor, bottom shelvings, etc.) and remove all miscellaneous items stored underneath.

Observation: Christmas decorations and boxes of paper work were stored in one of the washrooms.
Corrective Action(s): Remove all items not necessary for the business. Storage space is a challenge so ensure to organize all food and food-related items so that they are all stored properly (i.e. off the floor and protected from contamination).

Comments

Hand sink provided with liquid soap and paper towels.
Sanitizer (quats) measured 200 ppm (bucket and 3rd sink).
Yogurt freezer was at -18 deg C.
Display cooler and under counter coolers was at or below 4 deg C.
Walk-in freezer was at -18 deg C.
Temperature log was available and up to date.
Staff on duty has valid Food Safe 1 certification.
Ice machine was clean. Ensure to empty, wash and sanitize this equipment on a regular basis (i.e. weekly, etc.).
No sign of pests noted at time of visit. Pest control monitoring in place. Remove old fly strip in the back area.
Washrooms were in sanitary condition and provided with liquid soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
