Observation: A dead cockroach was observed in the glue trap in the dry storage room.
Corrective Action(s): Monitor for signs of cockroaches and remove the dead cockroach. Continue with the professional pest control program to eliminate the cockroaches. If any further entry points/holes/cracks are noticed in the building, seal them. Keep food covered. Regularly clean the areas of the restaurant to prevent any possible food sources for pests.

Observation: Floor next to the laundry machine requires cleaning to remove build-up of debris.
Corrective Action(s): Clean the floor next to the laundry machine; Correct within two days.

Observation: Staff currently do not hold valid FOODSAFE Level 1 course training in the absence of the Operator.
Corrective Action(s): One full-time staff member has registered for a FOODSAFE level 1 course on November 28, 2022. It was discussed that additional staff should register for FOODSAFE Level 1/equivalent course training.

Ensure enough staff take a FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent course to satisfy this requirement; Correct by January 15, 2022. Provide an update to the district Environmental Health Officer.

Follow up inspection:
-Pest control service was provided by Ansika Pest Control on November 8, 2022 to apply a cockroach bait gel, to re-service traps, and remove dead cockroaches.
-Hole in the dry storage room was sealed.
-Cleaning improvements were made to the floor behind the chest freezer and areas beneath the cook line equipment.
-Dry goods were covered in storage areas. Note: Bag of raw onions were re-located from the floor to a higher shelving unit during the inspection.
-A full-time staff member has registered for a FOODSAFE Level 1 course on November 28, 2022. Provide a copy of his valid FOODSAFE Level 1 course certificate upon his successful completion of the course.
