304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Rodent droppings were present on floor and a wooden pallet on the left side of the dry storage area.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and disinfect the aforementioned area with bleach water to remove the rodent droppings; Correct today. Dry food was stored inside pest proof containers with lids. Operator has a pest control program in place via Orkin on a monthly basis and stated they had re-serviced the traps recently towards the end of August. Provide a copy of your most recent pest control report to the district Environmental Health Officer during the follow up inspection.

Monitor for signs of recent pest activity and continue with the integrated pest control program measures: pest control program, sealing any entry points, keeping doors closed between use, storing dry goods in pest proof containers with lids, cleaning and sanitizing food prep. surfaces prior to and after each use, and keeping the food premises in a clean condition. A printout of the Fraser Health bulletin "Mice in Food Establishments" was provided to the Operator.

305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation: Several cardboard boxes were observed stacked near the backdoor.
Corrective Action(s): Make sure extra cardboard boxes are recycled immediately and are not stacked up near the backdoor to prevent a potential harborage area for pests. Staff began removing the cardboard boxes during the inspection.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Lower surface of a table near the dishwasher had buildup of debris over it.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize the aforementioned lower surface of the table to maintain it in a clean condition; Correct by September 4, 2021.

Comments

Handsinks were supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels. Adequate clearance was left around the handsinks.
Dishwasher final rinse chlorine sanitizer residual was measured at 100 ppm (minimal 50 ppm chlorine required) at the plate level.
Chlorine test strips were available on-site.
100 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available inside sanitizer pails in the kitchen area and front service area.
100 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available inside a spray bottle as well.
Walk-in-cooler and other refrigeration units were at or below 4 degrees C.
Walk-in-freezer was at or below -18 degrees C.
Hot-held food was at or above 60 degrees C.
Ice machine was in a clean condition at the time of inspection.
Operator with valid FOODSAFE Level 1 training was on shift.
