Follow up inspection:

-Dead cockroaches previously observed in the glue trap had been removed from the food premises.
-No signs of live cockroaches were evident at the time of inspection.
-Staff were conducting cleaning and sanitizing tasks at the time of inspection.
-Surface below the grill top had been cleaned.
-Two lower shelving units of a cabinet had been cleaned.
-Dry food was stored in pest proof containers with tight fitting lids.
-Pest control services via Abell are in place on at least a monthly basis according to staff. Pest control reports are with the Operator who is currently away for a month. Operator's business partner informed that there is no change to the legal ownership and he agreed to have a pest control service conducted this week to eliminate the cockroaches. Provide a copy of the pest control report to the district Environmental Health Officer by July 11, 2022.
-Continue with the regular pest control program to eliminate the cockroaches, check for signs of recent pest activity everyday, clean and sanitize all prep. surfaces prior to and after each use, keep the restaurant clean, seal any potential entry points, and protect food and utensils from potential contamination by keeping them covered in sealed containers between use.

-A digital probe thermometer was available on-site. Temperature controls of food were reviewed with staff.
-Only chlorine sanitizer spray bottles were in use in the front service area and kitchen at the time of inspection. Chlorine sanitizer spray bottles had been labelled to identify the contents. Ensure the chlorine sanitizer pails are properly labelled prior to using them as well.
-Extra items not required for business use (wooden shelving units and a tray) had been removed from the food premises.
