Observation: Signs of cockroach infestation observed in upstairs food storage area. Pest control operator has been contracted to manage pest issue.
The following unprotected food items were discarded:
1. Mesh bag of onions
2. Three open bags of pudding mix
Corrective Action(s): 1. Remove all food items from storage area to protect from contamination during treatement.
2. Pest control operator to treat building (all potentially affected areas). Ensure that all recommendations of pest control operator are followed.
3. Remove any potential harbourage areas, including but not limited to carboard boxes. Seal any potential entrance points. Ensure that any opened foods are stored in pest proof containers.
4. Ensure that all equipment, utensils, and food contact surfaces are properly cleaned and sanitized.
5. Ensure that pest control reports are available for review by the Environmental Health Officer.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted:

- Kitchen domestic cooler at 3 degrees C. Freezer at -14 degrees C.
- Upstairs storage area domestic coolers at 4 degrees C or less. Freezers at -16 to -18 degrees C.
- Thermometers accurate to 1 degree C available for cold holding units.
- No hot holding at time of inspection. Please ensure that hot holding units are able to maintain food at internal temperatures of 60 degrees C or more when in operation.
- Hand washing station supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towel
- Bleach sanitizer available in labeled spray bottle at 100 ppm.
- High temperature dishwasher measured 75 degrees C at utensil surface during final rinse (minimum 71 degrees C).
- FOODSAFE requirements met at time time of inspection.
- Temperature records available and up to date.
