308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: 1) Soap dispenser at hand washing station at three compartment sink as well as main like area were broken/missing, hand soap bottle located away from hand washing stations.
2) Inside of chest freezer lid broken with open containers of pre-prepared deep fried items (pickles, etc) immediately below.
3) Card board being used as a backing for a shelving unit between the rack and the three compartment sink.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Replace both soap dispensers with ones that area easy to use and refill. Due: Friday Nov 24, 2023
2) Cover all foods inside the freezer today. Replace inside of freezer lid to prevent it from breaking further and potentially getting into the food. Due: Dec 5, 2023
3) Replace cardboard with a durable, easily cleanable surface that is light in colour. Due: Dec 5, 2023

Observation: Sanitizer bottle in line kitchen area had no label and quats sanitizer solution was on the high side. Staff stated that it is manually dispensed.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all chemical bottles are clearly labelled for quick and accurate identification. Recommend having a measuring instrument for staff to use when refilling sanitizer bottles for consistent and accurate measuring each time.
