Introduction

A scheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSOP).
The purpose of the inspection was to review the physical facility and health & hygiene practices. This inspection was conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19 prevention strategies were noted and discussed.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated May 20, 2020 there were 4 children and 2 adults present.
Due to Covid-19 no signatures were obtained for this report. The report was written at the CCFL office and emailed to the Managers.

As part of the routine inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The Risk Assessment includes non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year “historical” review of the facility’s compliance and operation.
The following discussions were had:
- Licensing noted several observations made in the log book. A discussion was had with the Managers to capture the 5 w's (who, what, where, when, why, how) when documenting in the log book.
- Licensing noted two staff who have First Aid certificates coming to expire in the coming months
