Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Molded strawberries in stand-up cooler in back area.
Corrective action: Staff discarded strawberries at the time of inspection. Molded foods must be discarded as they can potentially cause foodborne illness.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Cleaned and sanitized cutting board is stored behind hand washing sink faucet in front area.
Corrective action: Cutting board was washed and sanitized at time of inspection and stored on drying rack. Store cutting board in a sanitary condition, storing it behind the faucet exposes it potential contamination due to splashing of wter during handwashing.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer in 3-compartment sink, in sanitizer spray bottle and in sanitizing pail measured at 100ppm QUATS. Staff mentioned water is added to sink in addition to the dispensed sanitizer.
Corrective action: Staff prepared fresh sanitizer solution during inspection which measured at 200ppm QUATS and sanitized all food contact surfaces. Adequate sanitizer is important to properly sanitize and prevent microbial growth and/or toxin formation.

Comments

Temperatures
-Walk-in freezer and under counter freezer at -18C.
-Back cooler, display cooler, prep cooler and under counter cooler all measured below 4C.
-Yogurt is held in ice bath in front area and is below 4C internal temperature.

Hygiene and Sanitation
-3-compartment sink being used and 3 drain plugs are present.
-Handwashing sink in front area and washroom is supplied with hot/cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel (single-use).
-General sanitation is excellent.
-Blender jugs are washed and sanitized after each use.
-Nozzle of juice dispenser machine is clean.
-Juicer is washed every 30 minute as per staff.
-Scoops are stored in dipper well. Dipper well is clean and cold water is flowing from top.

General Comments
-No sign of pest activity noted at time of inspection.
-FOODSAFE certification available for staff on site.
-Temperature logs and sanitation logs are maintained.
-Back door is closed and no entry for pest noted at time of inspection.
-Mop sink is available and is kept clean.
