304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: Mouse droppings and urine noted in pet food section of store on lower two shelves of unit backing the exterior wall. Spoke with manager who stated the pest control company is now coming twice per week and that staff are doing daily checks of the area. Corrective Action(s): Have staff pull out all bags of pet food on these two shelves every day to clean shelves of all pest activity and discard all damaged bags. Staff should also check between all other bags of food in this department daily to monitor pest activity and clean/discard affected product as needed. Violation Score: 3
