Observation:
1) Containers of uncovered foods (ex. chopped vegetables, cooked noodles) were found
next to hand sink.
- Bacteria from water splashing during handwashing can contaminate uncovered foods.
2) Observed containers of raw meats stored above loaves of bread in stand-up cooler (prep area).
- Raw foods can contaminate ready-to-eat foods underneath.

Corrective Action(s): 1) Ensure foods are covered and move containers of food away from hand sink. Operator moved foods directly next to hand sink to another location at time of inspection.
2) Ensure raw meats are stored underneath ready-to-eat foods in cold storage.

This inspection done by EHO student.

Temperatures:
- front prep cooler: 3 deg.C
- stand-up cooler (front): 4 deg.C
- chest freezer (front): -19 deg.C
- White-Westinghouse refrigerator:
- cooler: 1 deg.C
- freezer: -13 deg.C (products are frozen)
- A chest freezer noted beside refrigerator. Operator indicates it is not being used and is not turned on.
- Rice in rice cooker: 74 deg.C
- Large hot-holding units:
- wonton soup: 74 deg.C
- sauce: 64 deg.C
- Stand-up cooler (back): 4 deg.C
- 2 chest freezers (back): -14 deg.C and -18 deg.C (products are frozen).
- A sliding door cooler unit noted in back area. It is not in operation and is being used as dry storage.
- Beverage cooler: 4 deg.C.

General Comments:
- Bleach chlorine sanitizer solution measured greater than 200ppm using test strip. Operator made new solution on site and concentration measure at 200ppm.
* Reminder: Bleach solution concentration should be between 100ppm to 200ppm. This can be made using 1 teaspoon of bleach to 1 liter of
water.
- Hi-temp dishwasher measured at 71.7 deg.C at plate surface.
- Handsinks in prep area and washrooms had hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels.
- No signs of pest activity noted during inspection. Traps were present for monitoring. Operator indicates that pest control company comes every 2 months.
- Ventilation hood was slightly greasy. Next service date was noted to be June 19, 2020
* Ensure vents are regularly cleaned to prevent grease build-up.
- Overall sanitation of premises is satisfactory.

COVID-19 Comments:
- Discussed COVID-19 Safety Plan with operator. Safety Plan is available on site.
- Occupancy limit for premises is posted for public to view.
- Operator is using disinfectant to frequently clean high-touch surfaces in dining area.
- Ensure that 2m physical distancing is maintained between patrons in dining area.
- Self-serve beverage area was noted. Hand sanitizer is available for patrons.
* Place a sign in self-serve area to remind customers to sanitize hands before using facilities.

* Regularly check WorkSafe BC website for updates and information regarding COVID-19. Ensure that COVID-19 Safety Plan meets WorkSafe BC requirements.
