Introduction

A scheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection
At the inspection dated June 25, 2021 there were 15 children and five staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this routine inspection, a facility risk assessment tool is completed and a copy is provided. This report was reviewed with the manager and written off site. A copy of this report will be emailed to the manager. Time spent includes office time.
The following recommendations were provided:
If a child has food sensitivities (eg dairy) have a written plan that includes what symptoms the child may have if the ingest the food and what actions staff need to take.
If a child is being assessed for extra support, document any actions staff are taking until a care plan is in place.
Include a check box on the Registration Checklist to indicate a child's immunization status.
Remind the janitorial service to remove dust from extractor fans in the bathroom periodically.
