Comments

At the inspection dated, June 4, 2020 there was 1 staff with 3 children present. There were no contraventions identified during the inspection. As part of this routine inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

Licensing reviewed with the Manager their cleaning and sanitization procedures, and the implementation of the facility's sick policy. Licensing reviewed with and provided to the Manager the Fraser Health Resource Package For Childcare Facilities - COVID 19 Prevention. Licensing also discussed with the Manager their WorkSafe BC safety plan. Licensing reminded the Manager that this plan must be posted within the daycare.

Licensing discussed with the Manager the space currently used for providing childcare. Due to COVID 19 the kitchen is not being used by the childcare program. The kitchen is part of the licensed space for providing childcare however due to the current pandemic the Manager has temporarily chosen not to use the kitchen. In order to provide care for a maximum capacity of 8 children the kitchen must be used to meet the usable floor space requirement. Enrollment at this time is 4 children therefore the temporary closure of the kitchen meets legislative requirements. Once enrollment exceeds 7 children the kitchen must be made available for use by the children.

This inspection report was reviewed with the Manager at the time of the inspection. This report and the Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed off site (time spent .25 hours) and a copy of these documents were sent to the Manager.
