Observation: In the back kitchen, side door was left open and small screen was in place which was partially open and can act as potential pest entry.
Corrective Action(s): Either keep the door closed or install proper screen door to prevent rodent entry into the facility.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: 1. Used paper towels and build up of grease noted under food prep tables and behind cooking line.
2. Pooling of water observed on the floor near dishwashing area.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that the facility is maintained in good sanitary condition. Regularly clean the above mentioned areas.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: 1. Seal of small white chest freezer was partially broken.
2. White stand up freezer has very thick ice build up that could potentially interfere with cold air circulation within the freezer and can cross contaminate any uncovered food.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Replace/repair the seal of chest freezer.
2. Defrost/service the freezer and remove the ice build up.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted.

- Temperature of all coolers were noted at 4C or below
- Freezers noted at -18C or below
- Hold holding units for samosa, curry recorded above 60C
- All food containers were properly covered using lids, saran wraps. Good.
- Handwash sinks had adequate supply of hot and cold running water, liquid soap and single use paper towels.
- High temp mechanical dishwasher reached 71C on dish surface during rinse cycle.
- 2 compartment dishwashing sink available.
- 200ppm QUATS sanitizer used for food contact surfaces.
- No signs of pest activity observed at the time of inspection.
- Mechanical traps were installed.
- Staff has valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate (Exp July, 2025).
- Operating permit available onsite.
