Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): No approved food contact surface sanitizer available at the coffee bar and food prep area. Staff informed EHO that Lysol all-purpose cleaner spray is being used for food contact surface sanitizer. This product intended use is for common household surfaces and requires a rinse step. This is not adequate for food service facilities.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that an approved food contact surface sanitizer is available for use during operations.
Staff made a chlorine bleach solution in a bucket with wiping cloths during inspection. Concentration of the solution measured at 100 ppm.

Comments

Routine Inspection:
- Hand washing station equipped with hot/cold running water, liquid hand soap and paper towels
- All cooling units at 4C or below, equipped with thermometers
- Freezer unit at -18C
- Food stored and organized in a safe manner, 'First In, First Out' protocols in place
- Stir spoons are stored in dipper well
- 2 compartment sink available
- High temperature dishwasher final rinse temperature registered at 73.6C at the plate level
- Ice machine is clean, scoop is stored outside the machine in a good grade container
- No pest activity noted during the inspection. Ongoing pest control contract, biweekly visits.

NOTE: Ensure that pest control reports are available on site for Environmental Health Officer to review.

COVID-19 Control Measures;
- COVID-19 safety plan posted by the entrance to the back room as well as the front entrance
- Employee health screening being conducted daily
- COVID-19 signage available
- No self service for coffee condiments, done by staff
- Dine in is open, all tables and seats are 6 ft/2 m apart
