Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #KINE-BAAQMA have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A review of 6 files found that 2 were missing date of enrollment
Corrective Action(s): Ensure files are complete

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation: During review of daily attendance records on 2 occasions, 2 children's departure times were not recorded
Corrective Action(s): Ensure daily attendance records are complete

Comments

At the inspection dated there were 16 children and 2 staff present. This facility has 17 children currently registered.
At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified or no contraventions were identified. Actions required by the licensee and actions required the LO included here. As part of this routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
