Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Ice contained black debris inside it in the ice machine. This was shown to the shift Supervisor.
Corrective Action(s): Shift Supervisor discarded the contaminated ice during the inspection. Make sure ice is protected from contamination (debris or mildew) inside the ice machine. Make sure the ice machine is cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis to prevent buildup inside it.

Observation: Ice machine contained buildup of debris inside of it.
Corrective Action(s): Drain the ice immediately and wash, rinse, and sanitize the inside of the ice machine as per the manufacturer's directions and then discard the first batch of ice; Correct today.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Handsink in the front service area lacked liquid soap. Dispenser that is below the handsink was not in good working order.
Corrective Action(s): Shift supervisor placed liquid soap at this handsink. Make sure all handsinks are supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Chocolate milk/yogurt cooler was above 4 degrees C (at approximately 8 degrees C) at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): This cooler returned to 4 degrees C or less after the Shift Supervisor moved some of the chocolate milk cartons to the walk-in-cooler. Do not overstock this cooler to allow proper air circulation. Make sure all cold potentially hazardous food (yogurt and milk) is stored/displayed at or below 4 degrees C.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The small cooler in the front service area lacked a thermometer.
Corrective Action(s): Shift supervisor placed a thermometer inside of it during the inspection.

A probe thermometer was available.
Dishwasher final rinse temperature was at or above 71 degrees C (73 degrees C) at the plate.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available inside the buckets.
No signs of recent pest activity were present at the time of inspection.
