# OBSERVED IN CARE

Introduction

The purpose of the visit was to conduct a follow up inspection to the routine inspection done on August 6, 2021. A written response was received by the Licensee explaining how all violations had been addressed. Those areas will be checked today. At the time of the inspection there was one child in care with the Licensee.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

The following was observed:

-the facility licence, name of Manager and staff credentials are posted in the facility
-the door knob for the gate at the top of the stairs is now inaccessible for children to open
-diaper change cover is secure and can be wiped
-the deck railing has been replaced - gate for stairs is still to be installed. Please provide picture when installed. Licensee states that children will not be taken on the deck until the gate is installed
-rip in couch has been covered by a blanket - long term plan is to remove the couch and replace with a new one
-yard has been cleaned of garbage - miscellaneous items are still stored on the patio that could be removed as children do not play with some items, clothesline removed - be sure to remove any standing water from plant pots
-items in bathroom have been removed - one terry cloth towel is hanging on the rack - please remove
-blind cords have been tied up
-fire drills practised - emergency drill practise requirement discussed and new policy is to be submitted with new alternate location
-children's files organized and complete - one more photo still required for part time child
-attendance being taken for each child - reminder to sign school age children out and in on attendance daily

The following was discussed:

-ensuring bleach and water measurements are accurate and the solution is made daily
-continuing with Covid protocols for cleaning, sanitizing and hand washing
