Observation: 1) containers of various sauces were stored uncovered in the undercounter preparation cooler.
2) Cooler seals and handle had food debris/grease.
3) Cell phones and notepads were kept on the food preparation counters in the kitchen.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Ensure all food is stored in containers with tight fitting lids to prevent cross contamination.
2) Deep clean the facility. Thoroughly clean the seals and handles of all coolers and freezers to prevent cross contamination through the food handler - date to be corrected by: March 14, 2023
3) Do not store personal items on food contact surfaces. Items were removed at the time of inspection and the counters were wiped with sanitizer.

Observation: The next door unit is used for storage of excess non-food related items (chairs, tables, containers, table cloths, etc.). The floor is cluttered with empty cardboard boxes.
Corrective Action(s): Clear the clutter and remove all items that are not related to the business. Keep the floor clear to prevent a physical hazard and monitor for pest activity. Cardboard can harbour cockroaches and rodents. Date to be corrected by: March 14, 2023

Routine inspection conducted. Facility only operates in the evenings.

Temperatures:
Coolers are maintaining 4 degrees Celsius or less.
Freezers are functional.
Thermometers are available.

NOTE: ensure temperature logs are maintained. Temperatures should be checked and documented regularly for reference.

Sanitation:
Hand washing sinks are equipped with hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and disposable paper towels.
High temperature dishwasher achieved 71 degrees Celsius at the dish surface after the final rinse cycle.
100 ppm chlorine residual sanitizer was available. Bleach was available on site.
Next door unit is used for storage of miscellaneous items such as chairs, tables, storage containers, etc. Two coolers and 1 chest freezer are also stored in the area. There is no public access to this unit.

No pest activity noted at the time of inspection.
No smoking sign is posted at the front door.
Staff has Food Safe level 1 certification.
