Observation: Upgrade work to kitchen significant and done without approval. Pictures taken. Work mostly, but not completely finished. Renovations a significant improvement to previous existing.
Corrective Action(s): Complete renovation work to kitchen by re-inspection date noted on report.

Observation: Handsink still not repaired in kitchen. Using vice grip tool as tap not acceptable. Finish renovation work. paint wall and ceiling. silicone beed top of all baseboards. Remove old particle board cupboards on wall. Finish wall edge leading to stoarge area.
Corrective Action(s): See above and notes. Complete by re-inspection date.

Comments

Significant renovations completed to kitchen and storage area of facility. New ice machine, stainless steel shelves and counters, commercial freezer and commercial double sink with sprayer. Wall removed to create more space. Floor sealed with epoxy-style finish with some coving to baseboards.
Note: Renovation work completed without our office involvement. Please contact our office in the future when renovations or expansion planned.
Note: The following items related to the renovation work needs completion:
A) Exisiting particle board shelving on wall at dishwash station needs to be completely removed and replaced. Flaking and exposed particle board poses contamination risk to food. Exposed nails and screws pose safety risk to staff.
B) Finish end of wall leading to storage area where exposed wood and drywall exists.
C) Paint and finish walls and ceilings where incomplete.
D) Silicone top of baseboards as discussed.
70% alcohol and 3% peroxide used as hard surface sanitizer. OK. Get a spray bottle for the front kitchen and outside service areas.
Dishwasher measured at 71 C at plate. OK.
Freezer at -16 C. OK.

Organize office in a manner that it can be better cleaned and maintained if the practice of food storage in this room is to continue.
