Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Handsink was blocked by a prep table at the time of the inspection.
2) Staff was wrapping samosas on a table in the dining room area.
Corrective Action(s): 1) The hand sink must always be accessible for hand washing. Do not block the hand sink.
2) As discussed, food prep must take place inside the kitchen. There is no hand sink in the front bar/service area.

Comments

General Comments:
Coolers are below 4 degC
Freezers are below -18 degC
No hot holding was being done at the time of the inspection
Dishwasher rinse had 100ppm bleach sanitizer in it
Exhaust hood has been serviced. Next service is due in September.
Operator has a valid FS Level 1 certificate.
Bleach sanitizer was available for sanitizing. As mentioned, you only need 1/2 tsp of bleach in 1L of water.
Hand sink was fully equipped; washroom sinks were fully equipped.
Samosa filling was observed cooling at room temperature. Staff was in the middle of preparing samosas. Curry was cooling at room temperature; temperature of the curry was 55 deg. Discussed cooling procedures.
Beef filled pastries were found on display at the front service counter. Operator indicated that these are for display only and not served. The remainder are kept in the cooler. The pastries on display are discarded at the end of the day.
Westside pest control Ltd is on a monthly contract. Reviewed the last 2 service reports; no concerns noted.
