Introduction

An unscheduled follow up to a routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). The following areas were inspected:
Physical Facility
Children's Rrecords
Daily Attendance

Contraventions
Previous Inspection -
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11110 - CCLR s.15(2)(b) - A licensee must ensure that each piece of furniture or equipment for sleeping (b) is clean and comfortable.
Observation: It was observed that the mats and bedding were touching each other in the nap room. This could potentially cause cross-contamination in the event of an outbreak.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that mats are separated from each other. Licensee will try to have 2 of the older children nap in the general play area to make more room for the younger children's mats.
Date to be Corrected: April 23, 2019
