101 - Plans/construction/alterations not in accordance with the Regulation [s. 3; s. 4]
Observation:
Owner installed equipment for food processing without obtaining health approval PRIOR to installation. The equipment does not meet health regulations and standards to process food in the premises safely.
Corrective Action(s):
Immediately cease and desist all food processing in the premises. Contact your local EHO to determine the requirements to obtain health approval to process food in the premises.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation:
1) The paint on the floor has worn away in places exposing unsealed cement. The cement will absorb water and food, and is not cleanable.
2) There is a large hole in the wall into the adjoining storage room. This hole could be an entry point for rodents, and the wall is no longer sealed or cleanable.
3) Owner has installed 2 electric stoves, 1 floor gas stock pot burners, and other equipment without obtaining PRIOR approval from our office. The equipment does not meet health requirements and possibly other government agency rules (Fire, Electric, Building, Gas, etc.).
Corrective Action(s):
1) Reseal or repaint the floor so it is durable, smooth, sealed, and cleable.

2) Repair the wall so both sides are sealed, smooth, level, durable, and cleanable.
**Correction date: Jan. 1/24**
2) Immediately cease and desist all food processing. Contact your local EHO to determine the requirements to obtain health approval to process food in the premises.
