Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated Nov. 1, 2019 there were 14 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
During inspection Licensing observed:
- children engaged in free play including putting on a puppet show, creating art, working with modeling sand, dramatic play etc. Children then had a circle time with music and movement followed by snack and then they transitioned to outside play.
- staff interacted with children while they were engaged in free play, giving warnings before times of transitions and assisting with problem solving when necessary.
