Observation: The premises is starting to become cluttered and too many items are being stored in the premises. This makes it difficult to clean the premises thoroughly, and dirt, dust and debris is accumulating behind items and along the base of walls. This will encourage and attract pests.
Corrective Action(s): Declutter the premises. Start throwing away items that you do not use on a daily basis OR store off-sites. Increase the cleaning of all areas and surfaces to remove the dirt, dust and debris.

Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers 4C; freezers -15C; and thermometers present.
- Ice cream scoops are washed after each use.
- The soft-service ice cream machine is broken and not in service.
- No expired foods for sale (milk, eggs, butter). FIFO rules being followed.
- Food items stored separately or above non-food items.
- Improvement needed in the sanitation level and decreasing the clutter. Organize the store better and remove items that are NOT selling or are used everyday.
- No signs of pests.
- COVID-19 plan present, the measures in place are: masks worn by staff; 4 or less customers allowed in the store at once; hand sanitizer available to customers and staff; and physical distancing markers on floor.
- FoodSafe certified staff present.
- All foods stored 6" off the floor on shelves or platforms.
- Discussed results of the inspection with the owner, no signature obtained due to the pandemic.
