The top of the ice machine does not receive routine cleaning.

Observation: Rodent droppings observed:
- Storage room floor and bottom shelves
- Behind broken cooler
- Lower shelf storing pot lids
- Inside cupboard labelled as "TEA JUGS GREEN" on the bottom shelf.

Observation: Gaps found on bottom of door leading to outside and two doors entering into kitchen area.

Corrective Action(s): 1) Ensure all door gaps are sealed by installing door sweeps/skirts
2) Ensure staff are keeping doors to kitchen closed AT ALL TIMES that kitchen is not in use. Currently the exterior doors to the outside from the gym have large gaps at the bottom. The kitchen is adjoined to the gym and the rest of the building. Unless all doors leading to exterior in the entire building are sealed the doors to the kitchen MUST remain sealed at bottom and closed when not in use.

- Dishwasher achieving final sanitizing rinse of greater than or equal to 72 degrees Celsius (79.8) at the dish


NOTE: Health Inspector unable to find ready made sanitizer solution. Facility has adequate supply of bleach under counter. Ensure staff are making sanitizer solution PRIOR to food preparation daily. Sanitizer solution should be made at the start of the day and used to wipe down counters and food preparation surfaces PRIOR TO the handling of food and used throughout the day.
