304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: Pest control service reports identify mulitiple action items referring to areas where premise sanitation has not been maintained and have been left unresolved for several months. Corrective Action(s): All pest control action items are to be corrected in a timely manner. Premise cleaning is to be conducted on a daily basis to maintain premise sanitation and discourage pest activity. Violation Score: 9 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)] Observation: Upstairs service corridor - old equipment, building materials, broken pallettes and cardboard stockpiled along walls. Corrective Action(s): Remove clutter from hallway as it provides harborage for mice and obstructs efforts to maintain sanitation and pest control monitoring. Violation Score: 3 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)] Observation: Mouse droppings observed in the following locations: main floor and upstairs service corridors - corners and behind doors, at the base of all "I" beams that penetrate the corridor floor and in corners of dry storage room - along walls / under shelving. Corrective Action(s): All areas described are to be thoroughly cleaned to remove all build-up of food and debris from surfaces. Areas affected by pest activity must be sanitized with dilute bleach solution (100 ppm chlorine 1 tsp bleach / 1 liter water) after cleaning. Violation Score: 9
