Observation: Partial wall and wooden shelving installed near walk-in cooler without prior written health approval.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure an up-to-date floor plan is submitted for the above-noted changes.
Ensure shelving is finished with a finish that it is smooth, non-absorbent, easy to clean, and suitable for the intended purpose. Date to be corrected by: October 25, 2023.
Going forward, contact the district Environmental Health Officer prior to making changes to equipment, layout, and/or operations as health approval may be required prior to making changes.

Observation: Walk in cooler at 10 degrees C. No potentially hazardous food storage.
Walk in cooler light not functional.
Corrective Action(s): Have walk-in cooler serviced and ensure it is capable of maintaining food at 4 degrees C or less in order to limit the growth of potential pathogens (for potentially hazardous food). Ensure light is functional and level of lighting is adequate.
Continue to ensure potentially hazardous food is not stored in the walk in cooler until it meets the aforementioned requirement and is re-inspected by the district Environmental Health Officer.
