Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During inspection Licensing observe child's lunch bags stored on the kitchen counter without ice packs, or thermoses, in them.
Staff stated that these lunch bags had been on the counter upon children's arrival.

Manager stated that some parents request that their child's food not be stored in the fridge, or with an ice pack, as they want their child's food to be served at room temperature and not cold.

Licensing reminds staff that food cannot be safely stored outside of a fridge, or without an ice pack or thermos, for more than 2 hours.

Manager stated that they will ask parents, who want their child's food to be room temperature, to either place their child's lunch bag in the fridge, or use an ice pack, upon arrival at the centre. They stated that staff will take these lunch bags out of the fridge, or remove their ice pack, one hour before children are to eat lunch to bring the food to room temperature.
