Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: 1. Hose used for spraying fresh produce found be be deteriorating and covered with slime.
2. Several sections of the refrigerated produce storage shelves found be rusted that could lead to metal flakes chipping off in produce stored below.
Correction: 1. Replace the water spraying hose ASAP.
2. Replace or resurface the rusted shelves.
3. Address the issue of spray nozzles spraying water on tubelights in produce storage areas ( ASAP)
Comments

Follow-up to routine inspection and consultation regarding cut fruit process.

Corrections have been made to the racks and hose sprayer in the produce section.

No concerns identified with the proposed plan to process fruit in the deli section provided cleaning and sanitizing of all work surfaces are done prior to fruit cutting process.

Designated pull out cooler in deli section available for the cut fruit to be stored.

Excess cold storage available in walk-in produce cooler.
