304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Three dead rodents found:
- Two dead rats found on floor of kitchen in front of sliding glass door cooler and under cooking equipment
- Third dead rodent found outside in front of back door

Rodents droppings were present on kitchen floor underneath cooking equipment and in hard to reach areas.

Corrective Action(s): CLOSURE ORDER ISSUED.
Staff on-site disposed of dead rodents at time of inspection, and phoned pest control company. The following must be done:
- Set up contract with pest control company to conduct weekly visits.
- Re-set all traps and set up new traps
- Seal all pest entry points
- Clean all rodent droppings and sanitize affected areas with a strong bleach solution.
- Check for new droppings on a daily basis, and clean and sanitize as new droppings appear.
- Store all food off the ground and away from the wall, and in pest proof containers.

Observation: 1) Food debris accumulation observed throughout (see violation code 306)
2) Front and back screen door were propped open at the start of inspection
3) Old cardboard used to line floors underneath cooking equipment and around hot water tank
4) Lots of old leaves/debris accumulation around the back door area outisde.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Clean and sanitize entire kitchen. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of floors si required to prevent attraction of pests.
2) All doors must be kept closed to prevent the entry of pests.
3) Cardboard must not be used to line floors, as floors need to be cleaned daily.
4) Rake away dead leaves in the back area and maintain area in sanitary condition.

Observation: - Lots of rodent droppings present under cooking equipment on kitchen floor
- High accumulation of grease, food debris, dirt, and dust observed under and behind cooking equipment, shelves, by the hot water tank, and in all hard to reach areas.
Corrective Action(s): CLOSURE ORDER ISSUED.
- Deep cleaning and sanitizing required of entire kitchen floors.
