On January 7, 2020, Licensing received a concern regarding care and supervision, staffing, and program. The complainant provided the following details: -The Licensee intended to transport children in a vehicle with insufficient seat belts -The Licensee sent a non-staff member to pick up school aged children -The children play on iPads at the facility All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained from a variety of sources, including interviews and a review of facility records. Licensing determined the following contraventions: Child Care Licensing Regulation Section 11(4) - Certificates to be posted CCLR Section 19(1)(a)(b)(c)(f) - Records for staff CCLR Section 19(4)(a) - Early Childhood Educator certificate must be verified CCLR Section 23(1)(a) - Immediate access to employee with valid first aid CCLR Section 56(2) - policies implemented by employees CCLR Section 57(2)(a)(b)(c)(i) - Records for children Community Care and Assisted Living Act Section 7(1)(b) - Standards to be maintained |
