Introduction

All care categories were inspected during an unscheduled routine inspection to assess compliance w/:
• the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA)
• the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR)
• relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practices (DLSP)

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #CGEE-BS7P8W have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation: CCFL reviewed all children's immunization status & found that 1 child lacked her immunization status.
Corrective Action(s): All requirements of s. 57 must be obtained by children's 1st day of care.

Summary of FIR #CGEE-CBF26Q (07/Feb/2022)

1 violation was observed today, in which corrective action includes obtaining a child's immunization status.

CCFL discussed key points from the BCCDC's "Public Health Guidance for Child Care Settings" (http://www.bccdc.ca/Health-Info-Site/Documents/COVID_public_guidance/Guidance_Child_Care.pdf).

CCFL reviewed the inspection w/ the & manager; however, this report & the facility risk assessment were completed @ the Burnaby Health Protection office & emailed to the licensee & manager on 07/Feb/2022.
