Scoops and candy bins: Wash, rinse, sanitize (using 1/2 teaspoon domestic bleach in 1 litre of water and soak for 2 minutes), and air dry scoops after each use or, if busy, every 2 - 4 hours. Use the same procedure for cleaning and sanitizing the candy bins. Sanitizing solution demonstrated during the inspection.
Food Safe Certificate - At least one person per shift to have a valid Food Safe certificate. Check the date on your certificate and, if obtained before 2013, go to www.foodsafe.ca and take the online Food Safe Refresher course. Food Safe certificates expire after 5 years. |
