Contraventions
Previous Inspection -
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: Stored items within the multi - purpose room unrelated to the program offered consist of stacked chairs ( 40 per chart approximately 200 ) rolls of paper on stands, 2 stored air conditioning units, piano, Freezer , Wooden Frames , Metal floor risers and electrical cord. This items pose risk of injury to children,to be removed from the licensed daycare space.
Corrective Action(s): It is noted that items have been temporarily " blocked off " however the stored items pose risk of injury as the chairs are stacked , risers have sharp metal edges. Please ensure the space remains available for children's use as approved during the licensing application process.

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11050 - CCLR s.14(1) - A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as Family Child Care or Child-minding, must have for each child at least 3.7 m2 of usable floor area in the community care facility, excluding (a) hallways, (b) built in storage areas, (c) bathrooms, and (d) fixed appliances, or, if not fixed, large appliances that are not normally moved from one area to another.
Observation: Observed mounted wall shelves along 2 walls in the Multipurpose room in addition to many additional stored item which have decreased the amount of space required for children's use. Capacity of children issued for this space is based on the floor plans submitted calculations confirmed 20 children. With the additional items ( shelves , freezer , and stored equipment ) located within the room it is likely this space no longer meets for 20 which would then result in reduced capacity.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure the space put forward at time of licence issuance remains available for children's use. A follow up inspection may be required to confirm space.
