Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated October 28, 2022 there were 2 children, and the Licensee was present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy was sent to the Licensee.

The following education/recommendations were provided:
-The reportable incident reporting procedure.
-The current cleaning protocols that are in place
-Adding more food and water to the emergency supplies. Licensing recommends adding enough food and water for 72 hours.
-Flushing the water taps in the morning to prevent the potential accumulation of lead in water pipes

-Emergency preparedness website information
