Introduction

Scheduled inspection to determine compliance with the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR), Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSOP). Licensing provided the COVID resources. Covid infection control assessment was completed, copy provided.

Observed Violations

STAFFING: 12140 - CCLR s.19(4)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry, Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One staff person ECE Certificate was not validated. Corrective Action(s): All ECE Certificate must be validated. Date to be Corrected: corrected during inspection

Comments

Refrigerator thermometer is available, discussed placing it at the back of the refrigerator for better reading. Discussion regarding the bathroom sink/counter wall sealant. This report was written offsite but discussed with the Licensee during the inspection.
