304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: In the corner of deli area, droppings were found under the cooling unit. When inquired, staff indicated that the area was cleaned the night before. Numerous droppings were found in the next morning, indicating active infestation. Corrective Action(s): Required operator to contact Orkin to inform of the situation. Regular cleaning, and recording is required to identify ho wmuch activity and when. Code 401 noted on Routine inspection # JPAK-CE9TJJ of May-09-2022 Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation: One of the hand washing station in the corner was not draining properly. All hand washing stations must be in good working order at all times. Correction: Required operator to repair the sink so that it can drain properly. Date to be correcte by: May 11 2022

Comments

Follow up inspection to review infestation situation and to check the hand washing station -Hand washing station has been repaired to good working order. The sink drains properly. -Dead mouse had been removed and new traps set. -Operator indicated that removable covers are to be installed to prevent rodents from entering the space under cooling units. -Consistent checks and cleaning is necessary to monitor and to quantify the level of infestation. -Please contact Orkin and work with them to reduce/eliminate pest situation. -No further follow up is needed but improvements must be seen on next inspection.
