Routine inspection conducted with the presence of the store manager and district manager. Today is the Birthday of 7-11.
Admin:
- Customers can get free slurpee today. General sanitation was satisfactory, store has put more efforts towards interior cleaning and sanitation- Excellent!
- About 16 staff working in this location all had valid FoodSafe online training.
Temperature controlled unit:
- Chest freezer (ice cream), upright freezer at the back, under the counter freezer (near POS), ice box locked outside all < or = -18.0C. All frozen food were solid frozen.
- Walk in cooler, hot dog condiment cooler (top and bottom), under the counter coolers in the POS area all < or = 4C.
- Toquito rollers hot holding 67.3C.
- Temperature logs up-to-date and well maintained. Thermometer available inside the units.
Cleaning and sanitation:
- All the hand sinks and staff washroom were fully equipped with hand soap, paper towel and hot/cold running water.
- 200ppm Quats available in the dispenser at the back room, and in the spray bottles for sanitizing the counter tops.
- The counter and the floor around the slurpee area were in a sanitary condition.
Storage:
- Randomly checked Best Before Date for some food items either on the retail floor or at the storage area, no expired food observed.
- Food either in original packages or properly covered from contamination.
- Chemicals properly stored and separate from food at the back room.
Pest control:
- No small/large flies, no rodent activity observed during inspection.
-Back door closed and properly sealed.
- Professional pest control company contracted for the regular service.
