Comments

Follow up to Rpt # 242262.

- Food contact surfaces/equipment observed to be stored in sanitary condition.
Note: Large cutting board located near dough mixer is in poor condition--cracks are present that may be difficult to properly clean and sanitize over time. Ensure this cutting board is removed from the premises by the next routine inspection. Cutting board must be made from a material that is smooth, non-toxic, durable, easy-to-clean, and non-absorbent.
- No food items observed to be stored within opened metal cans at time of inspection.
- No evidence of sealable plastic food bag reuse at time of inspection. As a reminder, plastic bags for food must be discarded after each use as they are not designed to be washed and sanitized. Use new bags every time.
- No concerns with staff hygiene and hand washing practices at time of inspection

The following remains outstanding:
- Ensure shatterproof light covers are in place for all light fixtures in food preparation and food storage areas. Correct by next routine inspection.
- Ensure leak that is present under the warewashing sinks is repaired by June 11, 2019. A bucket is currently in place below sinks to collect liquid from small leak. Plumber was contacted at time of inspection. Follow up to be conducted on or before June 11, 2019. Contact the Environmental Health Officer for follow up.
- Ensure that at all times, in the operator's absence, at least one staff member on duty holds a valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate (or equivalent). Operator on site at time of inspection. It was stated by the operator that additional staff are to be certified in one month. Ensure that copies of all staff FOODSAFE Level 1 certificates (or equivalent) are kept on site.
