Observation: Cockroaches still noted in the kitchen area and dry storage area. Cockroaches were noted in the following area: underneath dishwashing area, shelving in the kitchen, wall joints between kitchen and wall.
Pest company was on-site for service on Nov 1, 2017.
The following needs to be corrective actions need to be taken:
- Ensure facility is cleaned thoroughly daily.
- All food items need to be stored in a sealed food grade container.
- Seal all gaps along joints between floors and walls.
- Maintain a contract with a reputable pest control company. Premises is to be serviced for weekly or biweekly depending on the level of cockroach activity.
- Pest control company is to identify and seal all potential entry points in the premises, especially in the dropped ceiling areas and along wall joints.
- Keep maintain copies of all pest reports on-site.

- Wall and floor joints along the whole kitchen area.
- Around the plumbing.

- Wall cracks between the kitchen and dry storage area.
- Wall and floor joints along the dry storage area.

Observation: Water connection for the hand washing station in the kitchen area cannot be repaired and the whole sink needs to be replaced. Staff members have been temporary using a 2-compartment sink 2 as a hand washing station.

Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] (Cold water tap for the hand sink in the kitchen was not working and no cold water was available. Staff members have been using the 2-compartment sink located directly in-front of the hand washing station as a hand washing facility. Have the plumbing rectify immediately. )
