Observation: Outside garbage/recycling bins are overflowing.
Garbage piled on sides of bin. Crows surrounding garbage bin.
Pest control report noted this area is prone to attracting rodents.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure garbage and recycling is emptied on a regular basis and there is no excessive accumulation outside the bin.
Bins should be closed to prevent attraction of pests.
Follow precautions noted by pest control.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: 1. Hand sink at drive through is leaking and staff are not using this hand sink. Closest hand sink has coffee pitcher inside.
2. Water from leaking intake pipe still present behind buns/donuts storage racks
3. Door for milk and other drinks at front display cooler unit needs to be fixed.
4. Walk in cooler light is strobing rapidly.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Ensure that alternate, designated hand sink is being used until the other hand sink is fixed.
Operator is aware and has ordered a plumber to fix the sink.
2. Wipe up any pooling/spilled water.
3. Ensure that cooler door is fixed and can contine to maintain temperatures at 4C.
4. Fix the light inside the walk in cooler to ensure lighting is adequate for cleaning and safety.

Food Handler Hygiene
o Hand wash stations are fully supplied with liquid soap and paper towels in dispensers
-Reminder to ensure that paper towel is fully pulled through for staff - fixed during the inspection.
o Operators had clean clothing for food preparation
o Staff washrooms appear clean and are fully supplied for hand hygiene
o Public washrooms are clean and fully supplied for hand hygiene

Storage Temperatures
o Cold holding Coolers are below 4C
o Cold holding Freezers are below -18C
o Hot holding food items are at 60C - soups, egg, breaded chicken, chillis, etc.

Food Processing and Food Protection
o Food Storage - Food is stored in covered containers.
-Coolers are organized to prevent cross contamination

Maintenance and Sanitation
o 3 Compartment Sink has wall dispenser for 200ppm Quats for sanitizing sink
-Reminder to ensure that hose for dispensing this is in the sanitizing sink, not rinse sink (fixed during the inspection)
o Dishwasher - Final rinse temperature is >71C at the plate surface (74.1C measured max final rinse)
o Sanitizer buckets - have 200ppm Quats
o Storage of chemicals is separate and away from food
o Condition of equipment and surfaces - food contact surfaces are in good repair and clean condition
o Pest control - Operators have a pest control contractor in place and there are no signs of pests at the time of inspection.
-Most recent pest control report was reviewed and there are no on-going issues.
o Sanitation Plan - Operators have a sanitation plan in place
-Minimal use except for storage of the 3rd prep station (closest to the door), reminder to keep hand sink clean at this station, some crumbs and food debris inside.

Administration
o Valid operating permit is posted in public view
o Staff is certified in food safety
