Routine Check:
Kitchen is located in White Rock community center and is mostly used by private groups.
Cooler air temperature is at <4 C - good.
Hand washing station has liquid soap and paper towels in dispensers.
Dishwasher (commercial) has a hot water sanitizing rinse (>180 F measured on the gauge and >160 F measured with my thermometer inside of the machine).
Quats cleaner/sanitizer is available. Follow directions on the label. If using domestic bleach to sanitize food contact surfaces, use 1 tsp plain domestic bleach in 1 litre of water and make fresh daily.
***Premises sanitation is satisfactory other than the wall/floor in the organic waste and garbage storage area. Improve cleaning in this area. Clean floor more regularly.
***Food events open to the public may require a Temporary Food Permit. Contact Fraser Health if you have any questions.
Regulations do not apply to private groups using the kitchen where food is prepared by volunteer members of the group and the event is not open to the public.
Paid caterers do require a food permit.
