Summary of Inspection:
During today’s inspection, there were 3 children, and 3 staff present. At this inspection there were no contraventions identified, therefore no further action is required by the licensee.
As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy was provided to the facility along with this report.
The Risk Assessment includes any non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year ‘historical’ review of the facility’s compliance and operation and is used to determine inspection frequency.
The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Emergency evacuation planning
· One area of the outdoor playground had a landscaping tie that was deteriorated due to weather, and staff had mitigated risk with the use of a cone to prevent access to tripping. Staff communicated a long-term fix for the space was in the plan.
· Creating a checklist/system to keep record of items located in the emergency supplies kits, and expiry dates.
