PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11230 - CCLR s.47 - A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The hot water temperature exceeded 49 degrees Celsius in one of the two washrooms used by the children. The manager turned off the hot water at the time of the inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the hot water temperature does not exceed 49 degrees Celsius.

Observation: Licensing reviewed 3 staff files and observed that criminal record check clearance letters (CRC) expired for the manager and a substitute staff. The manager advised that the applications were submitted for the CRC's, and that in the interim they will not be working alone with the children.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure CRC's are renewed every 5 years.
