308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)] Observation: The inner lid of the chest freezer storing the ice cream is damaged and taped together. The lid is not closing properly allowing cold air to escape, and the lid is not cleanable. Corrective Action(s): Replace the chest freezer with one that is cleanable and in good working order. **Correction date: Jan. 1/18**

Comments

A routine inspection was completed, the following observations were made: - Cooler below 4C; freezers below -18C; and thermometers present. - General sanitation is good. No signs of pests. - No expired foods for sale. FIFO rules being followed. - All foods being stored 6" off the floor on shelves and in groups. - It is recommended that built up ice along the edges of all the freezers are removed/chipped away to allow all lids to tightly close and stop cold air from escaping.
