Hot potentially hazardous food stored/displayed below 60 °C. [s. 14(2)]
Observation: Cooked custard left at 30C uncovered on top of the ice machine. Staff stated that custard is usually left at room temperature.
Correction: Discard the food item noted above. Custard must be kept cold at 4C or hot at 60C. Cooling of custard must be done within 4hrs and must be time tracked.

Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Surface sanitizer in bin measured only 50ppm chlorine bleach concentration.
Correction: Remake the sanitizer at 100ppm.

Observation: There is no hot water supply in the staff washroom.
Correction: Immediately provide hot water in the staff washroom in order to properly wash hands.
Comments

Follow up inspection to report #DSOG-CP2W5N:

- Purple rice and mochi stored at room temperature with time tracking log. Meets food safety requirements.
- Surface sanitizer in spray bottle measured approximately 200ppm chlorine bleach concentration.
- Hot water supply in the staff washroom. Operator stated that new water tank with bigger capacity will be installed by end of March 2023. Current capacity is 17.1 US Gal.
- Large bucket of yogurt stored over ice. Measured 4C.
- A third party pest control company inspects the premise once a month. February pest control summary report reviewed. Submit the summary reports with dates in January 2023 and December 2022 to the health inspector.
- Ice machine appear to be in clean condition.
- FOODSAFE trained staff on duty. Verified at the time of the inspection. The operator stated that the new manager will be trained in FOODSAFE level 1 equivalent by end of February.
- Drain plugs missing for manual warewashing. Immediately obtain drain plugs to fully fill up each compartment sink with clean water and sanitizer.
- Supplier name and contact information for prepackaged cakes obtained.
