Follow up to MTRG-AWEUYE.
- Met with operator during time of inspection.
- Operator informed that they contacted CFIA regarding selling of pickled products prior to selling. Operator was under impression that no lab testing required unless facility becomes a supplier for the product.
- Environmental Health Officer discussed the following with the operator.

- Pickled lower risk products cannot be sold at room temperature unless adequate lab testing and approved Food Safety Plan is provided.
- Pickled higher risk food products cannot be sold at room temperature unless adequate lab testing, Processing Authority and Heath Authority approved and approved Food Safety Plan provided
- Pickled items can be sold at items if displayed and dispensed with cold holding temperature of 4C or below at all times
- Approved Food Safety Plan will have to be submitted nonetheless
- No evidence of pickled products during time of inspection, it has been removed from facility.
