Observation:
There is a number of food products that do not have any labels or are from an unapproved kitchen/business. Found frozen desserts (popsicles); baked desserts (tarts & loaves); frozen meat skewers & patties; frozen empanadas; frozen meals; jarred, pickled veggies; and packaged sweets.
All foods MUST be made in a business/kitchen that hold a valid health permit or approval to ensure foods are being processed safely and sanitary. At time of the inspection, staff were shown the unapproved food products.
A sign was posted stating the frozen meals were coming from a business called "Seggy's Kitchen".
Corrective Action(s):
Immediately remove all these foods from the retail area and immediately STOP the sale and distribution of these foods items. Do NOT accept or purchase any more foods from unapproved kitchens/businesses.

Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers 4C or colder, freezers were -20C or colder and thermometers present.
- No expired foods for sale. FIFO rules being followed.
- All foods stored 6" off the floor on shelves of platforms.
- General sanitation level is good.
- No signs of pests.

**A follow-up inspection to occur on July 22/19 to ensure all unapproved food items have been removed from sale, and to discuss the matter with the owner.**
