Observation: *REPEAT* (Since April 2023) Scoops in bakery area observed to be stored in ingredient (flour, sugar) bins. Handles of scoop observed to be embedded in ingredient.
Corrective Action(s): Please scoop stored in manner that handle is not in direct contact with ingredients to prevent contamination. If scoop must be stored inside container, consider scoop holding units that can be stored inside bin.

Observation: Screen door near kitchen instructor's office does not fit properly in doorway leading to a large gap (1-2 inch gap) under door.
Corrective Action(s): Repair/replace door so it is properly sealed. No gap should be visible along doorway when closed.

Observation: Water observed to be pooling under dishwasher unit. Stainless steel counter for dishwashing area appears not to be properly sealed, and water on counter leaks directly to floor.
Corrective Action(s): Clean affected area. Ensure counter is properly sealed to prevent water from falling onto floor.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: 1. Service window (now sealed) near dishwashing area observed to be sealed with plyboard. Board is still visible.
2. Dishwashing stainless steel counter not sealed so water stays in counter; water pours onto floor.
3. Baseboard incomplete in area under dishwashing sink. Gap in baseboard leads to area that is not easily cleanable, and potentially can wet drywall. Wet drywall can lead to mould.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Plyboard is not an appropriate material for use in kitchen area. Please seal area using a material that is smooth, non absorbent (non-porous), and easily cleanable.
